Chris Baarstad

Chris Baarstad is the Vice President of League Operations at Valhallan. He is a passionate esports enthusiast with a wealth of experience in the industry. He taught English at the high school and university levels for several years before founding a high school esports program in 2016. In 2020, he formed a youth esports league that quickly grew to 60 participating schools. Known today as Valhallan Esports League (VHEL), the league is now the largest youth esports program provider in the world, with more than 100 organizations and 2,000 players and growing across North America, the UK and Europe.

In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is also an avid reader, gamer, and hockey fan.
